Ohio is one of our more active states, with assignment volume concentrated around the major metros including Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and the Dayton/Akron corridors. Contractors based in or near these areas typically see the steadiest flow of work, while those in surrounding and rural counties pick up assignments as they come in.
Like all the states we cover, this work involves driving. You'll travel to the address on each assignment, so reliable transportation matters. The upside: you're paid for every completed assignment, and on longer routes we factor mileage to make the trip worth your while. If you don't mind being on the road and you know your local area, that's an advantage.
What you'd actually do
A typical field call means driving to an assigned address, making contact or delivering documents, recording the result, and submitting a short report online the same day. Specific tasks include:
-
Document and letter delivery (contact and no-contact)
-
Occupancy verification — confirming whether a property is lived in and by whom
-
On-site inspections of business and commercial property
-
Field contact to update customer information
No prior experience is required. We walk you through what each assignment needs before you reach the first door.
What it pays
You're paid per completed assignment, with fees that typically range from $7 to $53 depending on success an completion. Earnings depend on the volume in your area and how efficiently you route your day. In busier metros, some contractors complete several assignments an hour.
